Blenheim Palace* and Woodstock- We will drive through the quaint country village of Woodstock and be seduced by its beauty. Bask in the magnificence of Blenheim Palace! Our early arrival ensures an almost private visit of Blenheim Palace. Built in the early 1700's, and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is a mind field of magnificence.
Lunch in the Cotswolds (optional)- Burford - a town built on a steep high street leading to the River Windrush and its medieval bridge. Tantalise your taste buds with a traditional English pub lunch and admire the quaintness of this old wool town.
Bourton on the Water- Sometimes known as as the "Venice of the Cotswolds", this picturesque little village boasts many of the Cotswolds traditional features, from its elegant low bridges to a magnificent Main Street.
Stow-On-The-Wold: The highest town in the Cotswolds and bursting with charming pubs and traditional houses!
Lechlade - Cotswold Cream Tea (1 November 09 until 31 March 2010)- This small Cotswold market town is situated at the southern borders of the Cotswolds where Rivers Coln and Leach join the Thames. We will have a traditional Cotswold cream tea overlooking the River Thames, with a lovely view of the natural wildlife and the moored boats used on the river.
Estimated arrival time back to London is around 6.30pm.
*NB. From November 1, instead of visiting Blenheim Palace we will visit several Cotswold villages and include Cotswold cream tea.
