Cast Change For Jersey Boys
18 Feb 2014John Lloyd Young, star of hit stage show Jersey Boys on Broadway is to bring his Tony Award-winning performance as Frankie Valli over the pond to the West End next month when he takes over from Ryan Molloy in the hit show at its new home at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Young originated the role in the New York production of the show and will appear in the show from 15th March to 27th April. As well as his prestigious Tony Award, Young also picked up several other gongd for his performance in Jersey Boys including Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards for his Broadway debut in the musical and is also starring in Clint Eastwood’s forthcoming movie adaptation of the real-life story, due to be released in this summer.
Young is to be joined by another new edition to the London cast, Matt Nalton, who is making his West End debut as Nick Massi in the show.
Jersey Boys charts the rags to riches story of four boys from the wrong side of the tracks to becoming one of the biggest pop artists of the 1960s and features many of the band’s legendary hits including Big Girls Don’t Cry, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Who Loves You, Fallen Angel and Sherry.
