Our day begins with a visit to Leeds Castle complete with a private tour of the castle itself and its grounds before the gates open to the general public. Once we have arrived you will get the chance to see the chapel, the banqueting hall, the art galleries and courtyards before taking the time to enjoy the local surroundings in which this magnificent building is set.

Following an exquisite lunch at the Lighthouse Inn, which overlooks the White Cliffs of Dover, we will then travel to the ancient city of Canterbury. As well as having the chance to explore the full glory of Canterbury Cathedral, you will also be given time to roam the closely knit streets of the ancient town and soak up the local atmosphere before heading to Greenwich.

Here you will also get the chance to see the remarkable Cutty Sark, which is famous for being the fastest ship of its time.

TREASURES OF KENT- Evan Evans Tours

The Treasures of Kent tour is a delightful day out filled with charm and elegance for all to enjoy.

We start the day with a drive through Greenwich, ending up at Leeds Castle which has been described as one of the most beautiful castles in the world. Here you will be given a private tour, before the castle opens to the public, of the many wonderful features that the building contains including the banqueting hall, the chapel, the courtyards and art galleries. Once the tour of the castle itself is over, we will then have time to take in the magnificent view from the Lady Baillie Garden where you will be able to see the lake, the maze and an aviary.

Following our trip to Leeds Castle in Kent, we will the head for Canterbury where you will be shown around Canterbury Cathedral by an informative guide who will tell you the story of the gruesome murder of Thomas Becket as it happened in 1170. There will also be ample time to explore the many narrow streets of Canterbury before making the journey to Dover.

Once we have seen the famous White Cliffs, which stand at four hundred feet above sea level, we will then travel back to London, stopping at a traditional English pub for afternoon tea. The original pub building itself dates back to the seventeenth century and has recently been featured in the famous film, "Battle of Britain".
