After opening in January 2009 and playing more than 2,000 performances in the West End it would seem that the public's affection for Michael Jackson's music and showmanship style is unquenchable. Theatre owner and Chief Executive of Nimax Theatres Nica Burns said of the extension, “Thriller Live brings people together from all walks of life to celebrate the genius of Michael Jackson and his incredible music. They go home singing and dancing. No wonder the show holds the record for the longest ever run in the Lyric Theatre’s 125-year history. It may yet double its own record!”
Thriller Live combines video footage with special effects and uses Jackson's most popular songs including I Want You Back, I'll Be There, Can You Feel It, Rock With You, Dirty Diana, Beat It, ABC, Man In The Mirror, Billie Jean, Earth Song and of course Thriller.
