Cats Set To Return To London This October!
25 Apr 2015Producers have now confirmed that Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic and popular musical Cats will return to the West End at the London Palladium for a ten week season from 23rd October 2015 until 2nd January 2016.
No casting has been announced for the upcoming run of the show but tickets for the production will go on sale from May 14th.
Cats is one of the most successful and longest-running shows in the history of theatre on both sides of the Atlantic. The show received its world premiere in 1981 at the New London Theatre where it played for an incredible 21 record-breaking years and almost 9,000 performances.
"On just one special night of the year, all Jellicle cats meet at the Jellicle Ball where Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, makes the Jellicle choice and announces which of them will go up to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life."
Cats has won both the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Musical, and in 1983 the Broadway production of the show scooped no fewer than seven Tony awards including Best Musical. Since its world premiere, the musical has been showcased in over 30 countries, translated into 10 languages and has been seen by over 50 million people around the world.
