Motown The Musical Set For West End In 2016

    Motown The Musical is to cross over the pond and open in London at the Shaftesbury Theatre in March 2016 according to several reports out this week with Memphis, the venue’s current occupant now expected to close in October.  

The show will include over 50 classic Motown hits will be directed by Charles Randolph-Wright and features a book by Motown founder Berry Gordy.  Motown The Musical tells the story of Gordy’s meteoric rise from small-town dreamer to big-time music mogul discovering an incredible array of musical talent along the way including Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, with whom he was at one point romantically involved.

The Broadway production of the show closed on January 18th.  Casting for the London production and information about tickets to Motown The Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre will be announced in due course so please check our website regularly for details.
