23 Jan 2014Bunnies Boiled at The Haymarket with Natascha McElhone cast as Alex in stage adaptation of Fatal Attraction.
It has been announced that Natascha McElhone (Ronin, Solaris, The Truman Show) has accepted the part of Alex in the upcoming production of Fatal Attraction at The Haymarket Theatre.
The role of the crazed Alex was made famous by Glenn Close starring opposite Michael Douglas in the 1987 blockbuster. Alex’s lust for revenge, after being spurned by her married lover, led to one scene that became legendary involving the demise of a pet rabbit and spawned the term “Bunny Boiler”. Adapted for the stage by James Dearden, this version will be more sympathetic towards Alex, seeing her side of the story.
The show is to be directed by Sir Trevor Nunn and will preview on 8th March before opening on 25th March. More casting news will be announced shortly. It is not believed that any rabbits will be harmed during the production of this show.
